We’re thrilled to announce that we are significantly extending our operations in the UK and Europe this year. To start off with, we’ve appointed Steve Jenner to our board as business development director, UK and Europe, and are intent on empowering smaller, independent events to share fully in the benefits of this technological shift.

Previously digital director at Kilimanjaro Live and founder of the UK and European Festival Awards, Steve is himself well versed in RFID contactless technology having played a prominent role in turning last year’s Wakestock festival and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Knebworth concert into ‘ticketless’ events for sponsor Samsung.

Building on our groundbreaking success last year in delivering integrated access control, social media connectivity and cashless payments to scale at the Isle Of Wight and Wireless festivals, we have an exciting calendar of high profile music and sport events already lined up to receive our pioneering services this summer. These deployments will range from full-site to contained VIP area deployments spanning events of several hundred thousand attendees down to a few hundred, with announcements forthcoming in line with the publicity schedules of the relevant client promoters and sponsor brands.

Paul Pike, IVS co-founder and director comments: “Last year proved to us that we have the most robust, effective, scalable and affordable cashless payments, access and social connection system in the market. Our trials are now complete, 2013 is our roll-out year. We are delighted to welcome Steve onboard; his wealth of experience and contacts across the European festival and technology markets will be a valuable asset to us in this exciting phase.

Steve Jenner adds: “IVS have quietly developed a powerhouse of technology products and services that will forever change the way live events are marketed, produced, consumed and experienced. We are working closely with the independent and grass roots festival sector to develop workable business models, partnerships and processes that will make the benefits of these game-changing solutions accessible market-wide, no longer restricted to events with big budgets or sponsors.”
